The Chilean government announced on February 10 that it would purchase 1 million energy-saving light bulbs and distribute them free of charge to the poorest families in the country to cope with the growing energy crisis.
These energy-saving bulbs have a power of 20 watts, but the brightness is equivalent to an ordinary 100-watt bulb, and the effective life is 6000 hours, which is five times that of ordinary bulbs.
