VRstudios is launching VRcade PowerPlay, a location-based VR offline gaming solution.
VRstudios has 55 VRcades in 14 countries. Players can line up at a pay-per-view experience, just like an old-fashioned video game room. The company, based in Bellevue, Wash., stated: "VRcade PowerPlay is playing a role in free-roaming, arena-scale virtual reality."
It can support 2 to 8 players in a 60-foot by 40-foot configurable VR battlefield. The competition can dynamically configure millions of multiplayer modes, arm cannon presets and different combinations of battlefield configurations.
VRcade PowerPlay can be practiced on the entire stage and can encourage players to work together. VRstudios tries to create a fun experience for users. Users can watch live broadcasts and in-game radio programs.
VRstudios CEO Kevin Vitale said in a statement: “Everyone is aware that esports are becoming more and more popular. We believe that the release of VRcade PowerPlay is actually a game changing rule. This is the next generation of esports in large venues. The added athletic activities can be deployed by any (arcade) operators, and while complementing our other systems and attractions, VRcade PowerPlay has created a whole new location-based VR entertainment category for players. It also operates for arcades. Businesses and sponsors have launched a series of new business models and brand choices."
VRcade PowerPlay is managed by the management platform VRcade Amp. It runs on commercial VRcade Arena systems and does not require additional physical infrastructure or props. The combination of VRcade PowerPlay, Amp and Arenas creates a complete solution for VR stores.

It combines retro game aesthetics with the future of battlefield environments. Virtual sports are shown on an almost limitless virtual stage.By design, these players quickly forget that they are in a virtual experience and move naturally in the same manner as they do on the real world playing field, including running, evading and Physical movements such as jumping, range of motion and dynamic athletic competition will support VRcade PowerPlay as a model for future sports.â€
