Compared with the same period of last year, the batch, quantity and value decreased by 84.2% and 73.3% respectively. And 70.7%, Christmas lighting exports fell sharply.

There are three main reasons for the lack of prosperity in the peak season: First, the cost rises, and enterprises are difficult to digest. Since last year, the prices of raw materials such as copper and steel have soared, competition among enterprises has been fierce, and prices have been lowered. Export lighting has not been able to reduce the pressure caused by soaring raw materials through price hikes. Second, there are few high-end or new-type lamps and low-tech products. The grade is not high, which has weakened the export competitiveness of Christmas lighting products to a certain extent. Compared with foreign lamps, most of the materials used in exporting lamps are resistant to temperature difference, non-flame retardant, lack of personality in design, no brand; third, the technical barriers that the export market continues to strengthen, so that enterprises should not be overwhelmed. Under the impact of the EU's green "two directives", lighting companies have not yet taken a breather, but also prepared to respond to the EU's recently introduced "Energy Product Ecodesign Framework Directive" (EUP Directive), a more subtle technical barrier to product requirements. Achieving comprehensive environmental protection in design will bring greater challenges to lighting companies.

The inspection and quarantine department reminds lighting companies to share information with suppliers through industry associations or industry associations to achieve resource sharing. Export companies should reasonably limit export prices to avoid blind competition. At the same time, we should increase the variety of colors and colors, improve the export quality of lighting products, and enhance international competitiveness by improving the technological content and added value of lighting products.
