In order to facilitate the rapid development of products for users, ZLG Zhiyuan Electronics has designed and developed an M3352 (A8 core) series core board based on the AWorks platform that integrates MCU, DDR3, NandFlash, hardware watchdog, etc. to meet industrial applications. Up to 800MHz, performance far better than ARM9. This article is "AWorks framework and interface programming (on)" the second part of the hardware - ARM9 & DSP & Cortex-A series of core board - Section 5 ~ 6: M3352 core board (A8 core) and the core board quick selection table.
3.5 M3352 Core Board (A8 Core)
3.5.1 Overview
The M3352 series MiniARM core board (abbreviation for the five core boards M3352-128LI-F128T, M3352-256LI-F256T, M3352-512LI-F512T, M3354-256LI-F512T, and M3354-512LI-F1GT) is a well-designed base for ZLG Zhiyuan Electronics. The AM335x processor's embedded core board module.
The 800MHz clocked Cortex-A8 core is far more powerful than the ARM9, providing fast data processing and smooth interface switching. The M3352 series core board has a rich set of peripheral resources, including 6 UARTs, 2 CAN-Bus, 2 USB OTGs, and 2 Ethernets that support switch functions. Can be used for portable navigation systems, industrial automation, human-machine interface and other industrial applications.
The M3352 series core board can work stably in the industrial temperature range and can meet a variety of demanding industrial applications such as industrial control, field communication, and data acquisition. Figure 3.15(a) shows the schematic diagram of the core board product. The details of the industrial control evaluation board are shown in Figure 3.15(b).

3.5.2 Product Features

3.5.3 Product Function Block Diagram
The M3352 series core board integrates the AM335x, DDR3, NandFlash, and hardware watchdog into a 35mm x 48mm module, making it an unbeatable value for money. The functional block diagram is shown in Figure 3.16.

3.5.4 Product Selection
The specific parameters of the M3352 series core board are shown in Table 3.14. Users can select the appropriate core board for secondary development according to their own project technical requirements.
When enumerating the model of the core board, the model is divided into 3 lines for display. The first line shows the CPU model used; the second line shows the memory size; the third line shows the size of the electronic hard disk. The table lists a total of five core board products. Their corresponding complete models are: M3352-128LI-F128T, M3352-256LI-F256T, M3352-512LI-F512T, M3354-256LI-F512T, and M3354-512LI-F1GT.

3.5.5 I/O Information
M3352 series core board In order to cooperate with the standard driver software development, the firmware of the product is set to the default function of I/O. If you need to change the pin function attribute, the user can refer to the manual, carefully understand the drive architecture, and provide the BSP development. Based on the package itself to modify the driver to adapt to their own needs. After the configuration is complete, check that each pin configuration is correct and avoid driver conflicts.

As shown in Figure 3.17, the pin layout diagram of the core board is shown. The core board uses J6 (A1 ~ A80) and J5 (B1 ~ B80). Two precision board-to-board connectors draw the processor's resources from the back. The factory default functions of the corresponding pins of the J6 and J5 connectors are detailed in Table 3.15 and Table 3.16 respectively.

3.6 Core Board Quick Selection Table
See Table 3.17 for the quick selection table. To facilitate the user to distinguish the difference between product models, the product model is divided into multiple lines for display.
