On December 12, China Meqi Holding Group Harmony Optoelectronics Technology (Quanzhou) Industrial Base was officially laid. This project with a total investment of 570 million US dollars is the first large-scale optoelectronic industrial base built by Machi on the mainland. As the most prominent representative of Quanzhou's development of emerging industries, Harmony Optoelectronics will bring to Quanzhou, not just a high-tech project for semiconductor lighting. In the future, it will form a world-class photovoltaic industry cluster with a total output value of more than 50 billion yuan. The R&D center has developed test products

Although the project has just completed the groundbreaking ceremony, in the recent period, there have been many domestic counterparts coming to observe and explore the space for cooperation. And the test products of Harmony Optoelectronics are even more impressive to these colleagues. Lin Mingde said that this is the harmonious photoelectric project has not yet been launched, but the R & D center has already established the effect.

Prior to joining Harmony Optoelectronics, Lin Mingde was the general manager of Guanglei Technology, a Taiwan-listed company. This is a leading company in the field of optoelectronic semiconductor components in the world. As one of the founders, Lin Mingde has been exploring the optoelectronic world for more than 30 years. The R&D team he leads is a leader in Taiwan and even the world. Three years ago, Lin Mingde retired from the position of general manager of Guanglei Technology, focusing on the research and development of semiconductor lighting technology.

In May of this year, after being invited by Miki, Lin Mingde brought a five-person R&D team from Taiwan to take charge of the preparatory work and research and development of Harmony Optoelectronics. Lin Mingde said that the current research and development center in Quanzhou has begun to play a role. Like the harmonious exhibition hall, the already-acclaimed test products were first designed and developed by this R&D team, and then produced by the factories in Xiamen and Fuzhou. From the upstream epitaxial wafer and chip design to the downstream packaging and application, the difficulty of R&D technology in the semiconductor lighting industry is declining step by layer, and the higher the upstream technology content.

"At present, what we are doing in Quanzhou is to compare the downstream packaging and application side research and development. Like epitaxial wafers, chip design, etc., these technical difficulties are relatively high, and currently rely mainly on Taiwan's research and development strength." Lin Mingde said, don't look to bring Quanzhou has only a team of 5 people. In fact, behind him, there is a strong R&D team in Taiwan, and a good interaction can be formed between the two places. In Lin Mingde's vision, bringing a higher-level R&D team to Quanzhou is only a matter of time. "With the gradual formation and improvement of the industrial chain, the upstream research and development forces will naturally form."
