Power consumption 10W Intel low-key release of the new NUC mini machine

Two new NUC mini-machines have appeared on Intel's official website. Based on the new low-power platform Apollo Lake, the specifications are much higher than before, and the power consumption is still very gratifying. The new mini machine codename "Arches Canyon", the first model has two "NUC6CAYS", "NUC6CAYH", the processor is Celeron J3455 - four Goldmont architecture CPU core (four threads), clocked at 1.5-2.3GHz, 2MB cache, core graphics HD 500, nine generation architecture, 12 execution units, frequency 250-750MHz, support 4K H.265/VP9 hardware decoding acceleration, thermal design power consumption 10W.

NUC6CAYS is a complete machine, pre-installed with 2GB DDR3L-1866 memory (upgradable to 8GB), 32GB eMMC storage (SanDisk / SK Hynix / Kingston), wireless keyboard, Windows 10 64-bit Home Edition system.

The NUC6CAYH is a barebone system that requires additional memory and storage. Up to two 8GB DDR3L-1866 can be installed.

The new mini machine also provides a 2.5-inch / 9.5 mm SATA 6Gbps hard drive, Intel Wireless-AC 316x 802.11ac wireless network card (Bluetooth 4.2), Gigabit LAN, 7.1-channel sound card, VGA / HDMI 2.0 output interface, four USB 3.0 Type-A 5Gbps (one supports shutdown charging), SDXC card reader.

Unfortunately, there is no independent M.2, you can only install a 2.5-inch solid state drive at high speed.

In terms of price, NUC6CAYS is US$225 and NUC6CAYH is US$158.
