Take the simple program shown in Figure 1 as an example to illustrate the operation process and display effect of the S7-plcSIM simulation software.
The operation process of the simulation software is as follows:
1 First, complete the steps of project creation, program editing, hardware configuration, etc. in the STEP7 program editor.
2 After completing the editing and downloading to the simulation PLC, open the application window of S7-PLCSIM.

4 Add the input signal IO.O (IO.O=“1â€) as required by the program.
5 Click the RUN button of the simulation CPU “Analog Panel†to make the simulation PLC in RUN mode.
6 Check the results of the simulation output QO.O, QO.l.
It can be known from the program that the PLC output QO.O and QO.1 should output "l" at this time. Therefore, the same result can be obtained in the simulation object QBO. The actual output of the PLC after running QO.O, QO.1 Also "1" (see Figure 2).
Figure 2 shows the simulation display of IO.O. According to the design of the program, the input signal IO.1 (10.1=“1â€) is added.
8 Check the results of the simulation output QO.O, QO.1.
It can be known from the program that the output of the PLC QO.O and QO.1 should output "0" at this time. Therefore, the output of the actual simulated PLC QO.O and QO.1 can be "0" (see Figure 3).
