The chip production and R&D base has a total investment of about 1 billion yuan and is expected to have an annual output value of 2 billion yuan.

According to reports, the LED industry base established in Nansha, named Jingke Electronics Co., Ltd., will specialize in R&D and production of high-power GaN blue LED chips, multi-chip modules and chip-level light source products. Products are widely used in urban lighting, decorative lighting, architectural lighting, special light sources, automotive lighting, various backlights and other fields, mainly to the Chinese mainland market.

With the promotion of major projects such as the Olympics and the World Expo, China's LED industry has been upgraded as never before. According to the statistics of China Optical Optoelectronics Industry Association, China's LED packaging device production capacity accounted for 60% of the global total in 2009, and the output value of LED application products exceeded 30%.

Some institutions expect that in 2015, LED's market share in China's lighting market will reach 20%, driving the industry to reach 500 billion yuan, and China will enter the top three in the global LED lighting market.

After the completion of the project, it is expected to produce 500,000 epitaxial wafers per year, providing backlights for 5 million LED TVs, and 20 million lamps to provide LED light sources and module light sources.
