Now the battle between the x86/ARM camps on the processor is conducive to the sound development of the entire market. In addition to the application compatibility, x86's entry into the smart phone market has a question of how to attract software developers.

However, the ARM camp on Windows 8 has the same deadlock: Windows Win32 applications can not run on the ARM version of Windows 8, this is the ARM camp and Intel in Android (using virtual machines, at least 50% not Involving hardware is different, only starting from scratch.

Huang Renxun reiterated his opinion at the AsiaD conference at the end of last year. Although Microsoft has not discussed the ARM version of Office yet, he believes this is absolutely necessary for the ARM camp.

LTE version Tegra, Denver will ship in 2013. In addition, Huang Renxun also said: "It's true that Tegra is inferior to Qualcomm's SoC in integrating LTE MODEM, but NVIDIA is the pioneer in the quad-core. We plan to release Tegra with LTE MODEM next year."

Previously, in the NVIDIA plan, the "Wayne" of the Cortex-A15 architecture and the "Grey" of the integrated baseband/MODEM all appeared in 2013.

As for the "Project Denver" debuted at CES last year, Huang Renxun stated that in order to clarify some news that NVIDIA will not develop its own x86 core, Denver will cooperate extensively with ARM and be compatible with ARMv8 architecture. At present, NVIDIA has hundreds of engineers and ARM jointly develop ARMv8 architecture and 64bit instruction set.

Huang Renxun also said that NVIDIA and ARM's cooperation plan is a long-term, officially released next year, Project Denver will become the world's first 64bit ARM architecture processor, for the broad market from HPC, servers to the next generation of notebooks, tablet PCs.
