Reported that PS Vita's sales fell significantly in the third week as PSP

According to Japanese media statistics, in the third week after the launch, PlayStation Vita’s sales fell into the biggest trough since its listing: there were only 42,648 units, which fell sharply compared with 72,479 units that were less than satisfactory in the second week. In the rankings not only behind the 3DS (197952), PS3 (67,199 units), even fell to the older generation PSP (62476 units) behind.

In fact, PS Vita’s cold encounter was similar to that when the 3DS was released: The 3rd week of the 3DS listing (March 7 to March 13th, 2011) sold 96,463 units, while the second week’s data was 209,623.

The main reason is the softness of software/games. There is no PS Vita game in the top 20 of the weekly sales charts. It seems that only SCE and more publishers can count on the hard work.
