According to the latest statistics of the Provincial Science and Technology Department, the current LED promotion and renovation work in the Pearl River Delta has been completed 91%, of which Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing have taken the lead in completing the transformation task.
According to statistics, in 2013, Guangdong Province had a total of 1321 batches of LED lamps, totaling 2.42 million, including 1.1 million street lamps and tunnel lights, and 1.32 million landscape lights and interior lights. By the end of 2013, the number of LED street lights installed and put into use in the province reached 1.2 million, completing 61% of the total tasks, reaching 2 million in 2014, and the application scale ranked first in the country.
In 2013, the output value of LED industry in Guangdong Province increased significantly compared with the previous year, reaching 281.103 billion yuan. The data in the first quarter of this year was more optimistic. The output value in the first quarter was 59.296 billion, up 22.19% year-on-year.
